Design transportation structures with AutoCAD and Civil 3D at Dillon in Ottawa, London, or through hybrid work arrangements. Support detailed bridge projects.
As a Structural Bridge CAD Designer, you will assist engineers and project managers with functional and detailed transportation structure design. You will prepare drawings, construction documents, and quantity take-offs while collaborating with multidisciplinary professionals. The work includes project delivery and field documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed design contract packages with multidisciplinary teams
- Produce two-dimensional and three-dimensional CAD design drawings
- Prepare construction drawings and supporting documents
- Calculate concrete, reinforcement, and miscellaneous steel quantities
- Support construction observation, administration, and site documentation
Requirements:
- Architectural or Engineering Technologist diploma from an accredited program
- Two to seven years in engineering consulting
- Proficiency with current AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented approach; Revit or Microstation knowledge is an asset
