Claims settlement and client advice anchor this remote opportunity with Desjardins for an experienced property and casualty insurance advisor.
You will investigate and approve claims, determine settlement amounts, and negotiate agreements with members, clients, third parties, and others. The position covers high-complexity property insurance claims alongside medium-complexity accident benefit and bodily injury claims. Analytical ability, decision quality, and extensive discipline-specific knowledge support each outcome.
Key Responsibilities:
- Settle claims according to policies, standards, and contract terms
- Meet deadlines supporting client satisfaction and avoiding penalties
- Negotiate with parties for smooth claims processing
- Assess damage, estimated costs, and market value
- Determine eligibility for accident benefits
Requirements:
- Related General College diploma
- Minimum four years of relevant experience
- French language knowledge
- Paid 24/7 on-call advisor availability
- Alternative relevant qualifications and experience may be considered
