Cube Dev and Power BI expertise define this analytics role at Synechron in Mississauga, Ontario, focused on secure semantic models and reporting.
As an experienced Cube Developer and Power BI Developer, you will build enterprise analytics solutions using YAML, DAX, SQL, and data modeling. You will translate requirements into scalable solutions while supporting governance, security, and performance optimization. The work includes collaboration with stakeholders, data engineers, architects, and application teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design Cube Dev semantic models using YAML-based cube definitions
- Build dimensions, facts, measures, joins, and pre-aggregations
- Develop Power BI reports, dashboards, scorecards, and applications
- Implement row-level, column-level, and role-based security controls
- Troubleshoot models, reports, refreshes, queries, and performance issues
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related technical field
- Five to ten years of analytics or data development experience
- At least four years of hands-on Power BI development
- Strong Cube Dev, YAML, DAX, SQL, and modeling experience
- Experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouses
