The Assistant Housekeeping Manager supervises housekeeping and laundry activities at The Josie, Marriott’s Autograph Collection hotel. This leadership role directs Room Attendants, Laundry Attendants, Housepersons, and Housekeeping Supervisors. Success requires hotel housekeeping experience, English communication, sanitation knowledge, and effective room inspection skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise housekeeping and laundry teams through meetings, inspections, and feedback
• Create schedules based on occupancy and operational needs
• Assist with hiring, training, evaluations, and staff concerns
• Monitor cleanliness metrics, budgets, and expense forecasts
• Coordinate repairs, inventory, safety, and lost-and-found procedures

Requirements:

• Previous hotel housekeeping experience required
• Previous management experience strongly preferred
• Strong English communication skills with guests and associates
• Knowledge of sanitation, chemicals, safety, and guest security
• Ability to perform physical housekeeping tasks and lift materials
