Part Time Phlebotomy Technician

Perform phlebotomy and patient specimen collection as a part time Lab Patient Technician across various shifts. Support patients throughout testing.

This Lab Patient Technician position manages collection from patient greeting through specimen transportation preparation. You will explain test protocols, perform phlebotomies, and complete related documentation. The work also includes ECG tracings, Holter monitor connections, data entry, and client communication.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet patients and request required information
• Explain collection procedures and verify test protocol compliance
• Perform phlebotomies, ECG tracings, and Holter monitor procedures
• Complete special test collections and related documentation
• Prepare specimens for transportation and testing

Requirements:

• Approved Laboratory Assistant program graduate or equivalent preferred
• Phlebotomy experience considered an asset
• ECG training or experience considered an asset
• Excellent communication and patient service skills
• Computer skills and typing speed of 40 wpm minimum
