React and Node.js expertise define this Full Stack Software Engineer opportunity at Manulife in Waterloo, Ontario, with a hybrid working arrangement.
This experienced engineer contributes across the software development lifecycle, from design and prototyping through deployment and continuous improvement. You will build React experiences, integrate APIs, and develop server-side services. The work includes Agile, DevOps, automated testing, and accessibility practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, deliver, and maintain full-stack business applications
- Build responsive React experiences with JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
- Integrate APIs, databases, server-side logic, and front-end components
- Develop reusable React components using Redux and maintainable architecture
- Improve performance, accessibility, testing, and software quality continuously
Requirements:
- Three to five years of professional full-stack engineering experience
- Hands-on experience with React, Node.js, Express, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
- Knowledge of React architecture, Redux, and server-side rendering
- Experience with responsive interfaces and accessibility standards including WCAG 2.1
- Understanding of Agile, DevOps, testing, APIs, and database design
