Support Windows systems and infrastructure onsite in Ottawa as an IT Systems Support Specialist handling users, networks, hardware, and operational technology.
This junior to intermediate position provides hands-on technical support across corporate and specialized operational environments. You will troubleshoot Windows, Active Directory, enterprise applications, LAN/WAN connectivity, servers, peripherals, and security-related systems. The six-month contract may extend.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, software, and peripherals
- Provide responsive onsite and remote support to internal users
- Troubleshoot Windows, Active Directory, Exchange, VPN, and storage systems
- Diagnose routers, switches, firewalls, servers, and network equipment
- Respond to tickets and document technical resolutions and operational logs
Requirements:
- Diploma or degree in computer technology, science, information technology, or related discipline
- Approximately three or more years of related IT experience accepted
- Hands-on IT support, infrastructure, and technical troubleshooting experience
- Working knowledge of Active Directory, Windows, and LAN/WAN networking
- Valid Ontario Class G licence or Quebec equivalent, plus recent abstract
