Air Pollution Control Process Engineer

Advance air pollution control projects from Hatch’s Montréal office using process modeling and mass and energy balance calculations. Support local and international work.

Hatch seeks an Engineer-in-Training in Process Engineering for its Clean Industrial Technologies practice. You will support multidisciplinary projects under a Senior Process Engineer’s supervision, helping address environmental compliance and occupational health requirements. The work includes technical calculations, process flow diagrams, field data collection, and client collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform mass and energy balance calculations
• Prepare process flow diagrams and technical documentation
• Conduct site measurements and collect field data
• Analyze data through computer-based process modeling
• Collaborate with engineers and client teams

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
• Zero to two years of relevant experience
• Bilingual French and English communication skills
• Ability to interpret PFDs, P&IDs, and mechanical drawings
• Strong teamwork, organization, and problem-solving abilities
