This Field Heavy Equipment Technician position focuses on repairing and maintaining equipment and attachments. Responsibilities include assessing working condition, diagnosing faults, ordering parts, completing repairs, and recording service details. The role also requires safe use of related instruments, tools, secondary equipment, and information systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Repair and maintain construction and forestry equipment
• Assess hazards and perform work to accepted standards
• Use John Deere Service Advisor for maintenance documentation
• Locate parts in catalogues and coordinate ordering
• Check attachment operation through required road testing

Requirements:

• Outstanding knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and propane systems
• Diagnostic experience with battery and engine-powered equipment
• Experience using electrical and electronic diagnostic measurements
• Industrial equipment experience involving lifting, rigging, and installation
• Trade qualification in Heavy Equipment, Agriculture, Automotive, or Truck/Transport considered an asset
