Logistics Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is seeking a motivated and organized Logistics Supervisor to oversee their operations, working a hybrid schedule from Kimberley, Northern Cape, ZA . This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of goods, managing warehouse activities, and supervising a team of logistics personnel. You will play a key part in optimizing logistics processes, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring timely deliveries. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to manage both on-site tasks and remote coordination effectively. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily logistics operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping.
• Manage and lead a team of warehouse and logistics staff, providing guidance and support.
• Ensure efficient inventory management, including accurate record-keeping and cycle counts.
• Oversee the organization and maintenance of the warehouse facility.
• Coordinate with transport providers to ensure timely dispatch and receipt of goods.
• Implement and enforce safety regulations and best practices within the warehouse.
• Monitor logistics performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
• Liaise with other departments to ensure seamless coordination of logistics activities.
• Train new team members on logistics procedures and safety protocols.
• Assist in developing and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Logistics Supervisor, Warehouse Supervisor, or similar role.
• Strong understanding of warehouse management principles and logistics operations.
• Experience with inventory management systems and MS Office Suite.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid model, managing on-site teams and coordinating remotely.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a warehouse environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent; a relevant certification or degree is beneficial.
• Must be able to report to the facility in Kimberley, Northern Cape, ZA for designated duties.
