Design advanced power automation systems with PLC, HMI, and SCADA expertise at Eaton, based in Ontario, Quebec, or Nova Scotia with local travel.
As a Power System Automation Specialist, you will independently design, implement, commission, and support power management and industrial control solutions. You will provide engineering expertise for power monitoring applications and mission-critical infrastructure projects. The work includes system integration, technical leadership, customer consultation, and project execution across varied industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design PLC, HMI, SCADA, and power automation solutions
- Develop architectures, communication networks, and integration strategies
- Lead startup, testing, and commissioning activities
- Troubleshoot electrical, software, communications, and networking issues
- Coordinate technical scope, schedules, deliverables, and customer expectations
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or technologist diploma in a related discipline
- Minimum three years of industrial automation experience
- Experience commissioning industrial control or power management systems
- Familiarity with Modbus, SNMP, and Ethernet protocols
- Valid unrestricted driver's licence and customer-site travel ability
