Lead Resilience Engineering at Affir m with production load testing and chaos engineering expertise in a remote-first environment across the country.
Affir m seeks a seasoned Engineering Manager to guide engineers building safe production experimentation platforms and tooling. You will define resilience practices, validate distributed systems under stress, and discover issues before they affect real users. The work spans infrastructure, product, and security collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define Affir m's resilience engineering vision and practices
- Lead engineers building safe production experimentation platforms
- Design controlled load testing and fault injection systems
- Establish safeguards, observability, and automated rollback mechanisms
- Drive reliability improvements through chaos experiments
Requirements:
- Experience leading reliability, infrastructure, or distributed systems teams
- Hands-on production load testing or chaos engineering experience
- Experience with Gremlin, Harness, or similar vendors
- Understanding of latency, partial failure, and cascading outages
- Familiarity with AWS, Kubernetes, observability, and programming
