Heavy Vehicle Mechanic Evening Shift

Maintain heavy vehicles and mobile equipment as a Truck Mechanic on AIM’s evening shift, using hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic expertise.

American Iron & Metal is hiring a permanent full-time Truck Mechanic for trucks, trailers, and other mobile equipment. The position focuses on maintenance, repairs, refurbishment, inspections, and accurate service records. You will support safe, efficient operations through collaboration with other departments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair heavy vehicles and mobile equipment
• Perform preventive and corrective inspections to company standards
• Resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
• Conduct functional tests after equipment maintenance
• Record repairs and maintenance accurately

Requirements:

• DEP in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics or equivalent training
• Minimum two years’ heavy vehicle mechanics experience
• PEP card and valid driver’s license
• Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems
• Computerized diagnostic tools and OHS knowledge
