MIG welding leads this full time Pakenham role, with TIG capability and fabrication skills supporting high end commercial furniture manufacturing.
SMS Personnel Australia Pty Lt represents a leading Australian owned commercial furniture manufacturer. As an experienced Welder, you will build frameworks for chairs, benches, tables, bars, and fit outs. The work involves quality focused fabrication for hospitality venues, using various metals and alloys including mild steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Weld MIG and TIG assemblies to specifications
- Work with mild steel, aluminum, and stainless steel
- Interpret job sheets, specifications, and working drawings
- Operate cutting tools, grinders, and associated machinery
- Consult with leading hands during fabrication
Requirements:
- Three to five years proven MIG and TIG experience
- Ability to read and interpret working drawings
- Strong fabrication capabilities across commercial furniture frameworks
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and cutting machinery
- Excellent organizational skills for fabrication work
