Custodian Janitor Floor Care

Keep buildings clean and orderly as a Custodian Janitor, using floor care, sanitation, and heavy cleaning skills. Maintain safe spaces for patients, visitors, and staff.

This Custodian Janitor role focuses on assigned-area cleaning and sanitation. Duties include dusting, damp mopping, carpet shampooing, and washing walls, windows, furniture, and baseboards. You will also follow infection control plans, approved procedures, and supervisor instructions while working independently and with a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect and dispose of trash under approved procedures
• Dust and damp mop floors following approved procedures
• Move equipment and furniture for proper cleaning
• Sanitize assigned areas using designated materials and equipment
• Strip, scrub, buff, refinish floors, and shampoo carpet

Requirements:

• Previous housekeeping or custodian experience is an asset
• WHMIS and BSW certifications are assets
• Good verbal and written English language command
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Physical ability to perform all job aspects
