Support facility repairs and daily inspections as a full time Maintenance Assistant at Amica Peel Village. Attention to detail and practical repair knowledge are essential.
Amica Senior Lifestyles seeks a Maintenance Assistant to assist the Maintenance Coordinator with facility operations. The work includes equipment repairs, painting, grounds upkeep, and checks involving fire safety and building security. Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC systems supports the position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support daily work order completion with the Maintenance Coordinator
- Repair equipment throughout the facility and suites
- Complete painting and minor building touch ups
- Inspect equipment, pool, and grounds daily
- Perform fire safety and building security checks
Requirements:
- Minimum Grade 12 education
- Fluency in oral and written English
- Basic electrical, plumbing, and carpentry repair knowledge
- Knowledge of HVAC systems and hand tools
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and work at heights
