Construction Officer Level 3

Coordinate construction projects in Vernon, BC, using site inspection and safety expertise across civil, electrical, and mechanical work.

As a Construction Officer Level 3, you will coordinate and inspect multiple or large projects for BC Hydro. Your work covers construction methods, engineering drawings, site testing, surveying, estimating, contract administration, and safety standards. You will help ensure work, materials, progress, and costs meet expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and inspect civil, electrical, and mechanical construction projects
• Inspect substations, transmission lines, and hydroelectric equipment
• Perform Safe Work Observations and prioritize site safety
• Coordinate testing, surveying, and estimating activities
• Support contracts and respond to construction inquiries

Requirements:

• Seven years of construction experience or equivalent
• Ten plus years in a civil trade or National Diploma
• Valid Class 5 driver's license
• Computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel
• Willingness to work at remote sites throughout British Columbia
