Construction Safety Coordinator Richmond

Support construction safety on site in Richmond with Cap West Group, focusing on hazard identification, inspections, and accurate documentation. Work full-time around forming crews.

As Trade Safety Coordinator, you will monitor active construction areas and coordinate safety matters with Superintendents, Forepersons, workers, and the general contractor’s safety team. The work includes construction hazard awareness, WorkSafeBC requirements, crane operations, and organized records. Forming or high-rise experience is an asset, while CSO certification or recognized occupational health and safety training is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Walk active decks, access routes, stripping, and storage areas
• Identify hazards and follow deficiencies through correction
• Review FLHAs, inspections, toolbox talks, and safety records
• Record Autodesk inspections, photos, assignments, and closeouts
• Coordinate safety issues with site representatives and Forepersons

Requirements:

• One to two years of construction experience
• Working knowledge of construction hazards and WorkSafeBC requirements
• Knowledge of tower crane operations and rigging practices
• Comfort speaking with workers and maintaining organized records
• Basic computer skills; safety certifications are assets
