Senior Care Recreation Program Manager

Shape meaningful senior care activities at Extendicare through recreation leadership, resident engagement, and a person-centered approach focused on quality of life.

As Recreation Manager, you will plan, organize, implement, document, and evaluate programs in a senior care setting. You will guide recreation staff and volunteers while supporting resident and family satisfaction. The position requires post-secondary recreation education, health care experience, and strong leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan activities that encourage resident participation
• Organize and evaluate resident programs
• Hire, train, and engage recreation teams
• Support resident and family satisfaction targets
• Comply with regulatory requirements and resident rights

Requirements:

• Recreation Therapy or Therapeutic Recreation education
• Minimum one year in a health care setting
• Minimum two years in senior care programming
• Passion for person-centered work with seniors
• Activity Pro and Point Click Care proficiency is an asset
