High School Math Science Tutor

Support Grades 9-12 learners with mathematics and science tutoring at Oxford Learning North York Willowdale in Toronto, Ontario.

Oxford Learning seeks a part-time Interactive Coach for students needing guidance in math and science. The position uses pre-planned lessons, so teacher-tutors follow established methods rather than preparing lessons before class. You may support senior mathematics topics, including Advanced Functions, algebra, trigonometry, calculus, and vectors, alongside physics, chemistry, and biology. The role also develops students’ skills, self-confidence, and self-esteem through direct instruction. Work takes place in person at the learning centre during after-school and evening hours, with Saturday availability noted.

Key Responsibilities:

• Guide students through math and science learning
• Teach students across different academic levels
• Apply Oxford Learning’s proprietary philosophy and methods
• Record notes following each lesson
• Complete daily communication updates

Requirements:

• Minimum availability of two evenings weekly
• Strong English written and oral communication
• Strong math skills and guidance ability
• Ability to multitask with three students
• Mandatory vulnerable sector screening
