Catering Firm Cook and Event Coordinator

Prepare Canadian cuisine onsite in an urban catering firm, using menu planning and kitchen management skills. Coordinate special events and organize service.

This Cook role requires one to less than two years of experience and secondary school graduation. You will prepare complete meals, individual dishes, allergy-conscious meals, and patient meals as instructed. The position supports catering operations through inventory control, buffet organization, and staff training.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate special events and organize buffets and banquets
• Plan menus and estimate required food quantities
• Prepare Canadian meals and individual dishes
• Train staff in food preparation, cooking, and handling
• Manage kitchen operations, supplies, inventory, and records

Requirements:

• Secondary school graduation certificate
• One to less than two years of experience
• English language ability
• Attention to detail and strong organization
• Ability to handle heavy loads and stand extensively
