Support prescription workflow at Shoppers Drug Mart through accurate data entry, medication preparation, and attentive customer service. Work within pharmacy standards and protect customer privacy.
As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will assist with technical dispensing functions, pharmacy services, and daily operations. You will gather prescription information, process refills, select medications, and prepare prescriptions. The position also includes cash register control, billing, filing, and pharmacist referrals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather prescription information according to established standards
- Enter prescriptions and process refill requests accurately
- Select, count, measure, package, and label medications
- Refer clinical inquiries and counseling needs to pharmacists
- Maintain prescription records, systems, and documentation
Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- Pharmacy Assistant program diploma preferred
- Previous pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
