Support prescription workflow at Shoppers Drug Mart through accurate data entry, medication selection, and attentive customer service. Work in a locally owned store serving community needs.
As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will assist with technical dispensing functions, pharmacy services, and daily operations. The position emphasizes prescription preparation, refill processing, customer communication, and privacy requirements. You will support the pharmacist by referring clinical inquiries and counseling needs appropriately.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather prescription information according to established Standards
- Enter prescriptions and process refill requests accurately
- Select, count, measure, package, and label medications
- Refer clinical inquiries and counseling needs to pharmacists
- Maintain dispensary cash register and customer transactions
Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- Pharmacy Assistant credited course diploma preferred
- Previous pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
