Process design expertise and Chemical Engineering knowledge define this Process Engineer opportunity with Bantrel in Calgary, Alberta. Support safe, efficient project solutions.
As a Process Engineer on Bantrel’s Energy team, you will support projects from concept through detailed engineering. Apply process engineering principles, established design criteria, and industry practices while preparing calculations, specifications, drawings, and technical deliverables. Collaborate with project managers, senior engineers, clients, vendors, and multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop project facilities designs from concept through detailed engineering
- Design pumps, compressors, vessels, heat exchangers, and other equipment
- Prepare process calculations, specifications, drawings, and discipline documents
- Support design follow-up during construction and commissioning
- Participate in project Risk and HAZOP reviews
Requirements:
- Recognized Chemical Engineering degree or relevant specialized equivalent
- Professional Engineer registration with APEGA or eligibility
- Five to nine years of progressive process design experience
- Experience within industrial plants, utilities, or process plants
- Knowledge of engineering codes, standards, and industry practices
