Support prescription workflow at Shoppers Drug Mart through accurate data entry, medication preparation, and timely customer service. Work within Pharmacy Standards of Practice.
This Pharmacy Assistant role supports technical dispensing functions and pharmacy services. You will receive prescription orders, process refills, select medications, and package prescriptions. The position also includes customer service, billing administration, documentation, and pharmacist referrals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather prescription information according to established standards
- Enter prescriptions and process refill requests accurately
- Select, count, measure, package, and label medications
- Refer clinical inquiries and counseling needs to pharmacists
- Maintain accurate data within applicable pharmacy systems
Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- Pharmacy Assistant credited course diploma preferred
- Previous pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail
- Organizational and multitasking skills
