Thrift Store Customer Service Clerk

Serve Drumheller shoppers and donors through customer service, cash handling, and merchandise processing at The Salvation Army Thrift Store. This is temporary part-time work.

The Thrift Store Clerk supports ongoing retail operations by greeting customers, processing donations, completing transactions, and maintaining merchandise. The position requires attention to detail, communication skills, and safe handling practices. Schedules may include weekdays and Saturdays, with prolonged standing and frequent bending, twisting, crouching, and reaching.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet customers and donors positively, courteously, and professionally
• Complete accurate cash and debit transactions
• Sort, price, hang, pack, and store donations
• Replenish sales-floor inventory and assist donation turnover
• Maintain clean, organized, attractive, and safe store areas

Requirements:

• Completion of some high school coursework
• Cash handling and cash register experience required
• Some related processing or distribution experience
• Experience working in a computerized environment
• Ability to lift or move 30 pounds
