The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pharmacy Manager to oversee the operations of a closed-door pharmacy that focuses on providing specialty pharmaceutical products, high-cost drugs and patient-centric tailored services. This location is NOT open to the public. Patient counselling is generally conducted using virtual platforms. This is a full-time, permanent position with excellent hours.

This role offers a Monday to Friday daytime shift. Working a 37.5 hour work week, between core operational hours (ie : 9am to 5pm) is a pharmacist’s dream!
You will be the Designated Manager for this remote dispensary. In this role, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to :
- Managing a small team of Pharmacy Assistants and Registered Technicians.
- Interacting with patients, healthcare professionals and other staff to offer expert advice, address inquiries and ensure exceptional customer service to patients who require accessibility to high-cost drugs, medications that may not be readily accessible, or complex specialty medications
- Monitoring the Cold-Chain pharmaceutical operations. Troubleshooting any discrepancies and compiling corrective action plans.
- Collaborating with physicians and healthcare providers to optimize patient medication therapy and monitoring of potential drug interactions
- Overseeing quality assurance to ensure adherence to established pharmacy protocols, quality control standards and regulatory requirements to ensure the highest level of patient safety and service
- Online / over the phone medication counseling when required
- Coaching, mentoring and providing direction to a small team
- Dealing with escalated issues

Experience
3+ years’ experience as a practicing pharmacist
Qualifications
A valid license as a Pharmacist in good standing with the college of Pharmacy in OntarioMust be a Part A licensed pharmacistExperience as a Pharmacy Manager or Supervisor a strong assetEducation
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BScPhm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)A licensed Pharmacist in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacy
