Operations Manager

MatchBox Consulting Group is looking for an Operations Manager on behalf of a well-established construction company.

This is an opportunity for a senior construction leader to oversee project delivery, operational performance, financial results, and team development. Working closely with executive and field leadership, you will help drive efficient project execution, strengthen internal processes, and support continued business growth.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations across project and field teams.

• Monitor project performance, budgets, forecasts, invoicing, and profitability.

• Support contract reviews, client negotiations, change management, and risk mitigation.

• Improve operational processes, project controls, reporting, and best practices.

• Provide regular operational and financial reporting to senior leadership.

• Mentor and develop Project Managers, Coordinators, and support staff.

• Support hiring, workforce planning, performance management, and team growth.

• Contribute to business development and strategic planning initiatives.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of construction management experience with a general contractor or subcontractor

• Proven experience leading multiple construction projects and project teams.

• Strong knowledge of project financial management, forecasting, reporting, scheduling, contracts, and change management.

• Experience with projects ranging from $1M to $25M+.

• Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.

• Post-secondary education in construction, engineering, or a related field is an asset.
