Reporting to the Municipal Engineer, the Summer Student, Assistant Project Supervisor position is responsible for :

• Assist in the provision of quality and quantity assurance duties during the construction of capital projects, including storm sewer, sanitary sewer and watermain installations, asphalt paving and concrete works (curbs and sidewalks), watermain lining, full road reconstruction projects, etc.
• Maintain detailed and accurate work records for construction projects.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and construction specifications.
• Act as a representative of the City of Cornwall and use outstanding public relations skills and maintain a professional image at all times.
• All other duties as assigned.
• Assist the City's Surveyor, Project Supervisors and / or Right-of-Way Technician as required.

Hours :

7 : 00AM to 4 : 00PM; 40 hours per week, plus overtime as required.

All Summer Students must be Full-time day students at a recognized secondary or post-secondary institution and be returning to full time attendance in the fall of 2026.
