Our power & utilities client is seeking an Intermediate Data Management Analyst to implement and improve data management capabilities using SQL, Python, Microsoft Purview, and Databricks
Join a data analytics team supporting enterprise data management initiatives across business domains and technology platforms within the energy and resources sector. This role focuses on operationalizing data management processes, supporting data quality and metadata initiatives, and improving enterprise data accessibility, traceability, and protection. The position works closely with Data Owners, Data Stewards, business stakeholders, and technical teams to support data governance and analytics enablement activities.

Must Haves
- 5+ years in data analytics, data management, or related fields
- Proficiency with SQL, Python, Spark, Power BI, Microsoft Purview, Fabric, or Databricks
- Practical knowledge of metadata management, data cataloging, lineage, classification, and data quality practices
- Understanding of data modelling, databases, data relationships, SQL interpretation, and ETL processes
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data and Analytics, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Business, Data Management, or equivalent experience
Nice to Have
- Experience with process improvement, workflow design, or automation
- Exposure to sensitivity labeling and enterprise data platform practices
- Experience developing metrics, dashboards, and reporting
Responsibilities
- Translate data management requirements and standards into repeatable processes, controls, workflows, and technology-enabled practices
- Implement and operate data quality controls and monitoring activities
- Manage enterprise data cataloging, metadata, lineage, glossary information, and critical data elements
- Implement and maintain data classification, tagging, and access practices
- Develop and maintain metrics, dashboards, and reporting related to data management outcomes
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to integrate data management requirements into business processes and technology solutions
- Develop guidance, documentation, training, and communications to support data literacy and organizational data maturity
