Securiguard is looking for an experienced Manager, Training and Performance to join our Aviation Security team at Vancouver International Airport (YVR).Reporting to the Director, Aviation Security, this position will lead the development, delivery, evaluation, and continuous improvement of training and performance programs supporting our security personnel at YVR. The Manager will play a key role in ensuring employees have the knowledge, skills, and ongoing development required to perform their responsibilities safely, effectively, and in accordance with regulatory and operational requirements.Salary: $70,000–$80,000 annually Employment Type: Full-Time, PermanentLocation: Vancouver International Airport (YVR), Richmond, BCWhat You'll DoDevelop, implement, and maintain comprehensive initial and recurrent training programs for security personnel at YVR.Ensure training programs remain aligned with Vancouver Airport Authority requirements and applicable Canadian aviation security regulations.Develop modular, knowledge- and skills-based training appropriate to different security roles and responsibilities.Coordinate and oversee annual recurrent training and employee evaluations.Maintain and continuously update training curriculum to reflect changes to regulations, airport security procedures, operational requirements, and client expectations.Deliver or coordinate follow-up and remedial training where performance gaps or training needs are identified.Oversee training and operational Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across applicable security classifications.Develop and administer quality assurance and audit programs to evaluate employee knowledge, competency, and operational readiness.Coordinate periodic exercises, knowledge assessments, unannounced Q&A sessions, and other performance evaluation activities.Maintain accurate and detailed records related to training, evaluations, audits, and employee competency.Ensure training and compliance records are readily available for internal review and, where required, Vancouver Airport Authority and Transport Canada.Monitor team performance against established deliverables, service standards, metrics, and quality assurance requirements.Develop, maintain, analyze, and present key performance indicator (KPI) reports.Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting and analysis related to training, performance, compliance, and operational KPIs.Work closely with Aviation Security leadership and operational teams to identify training needs and opportunities for continuous improvement.Support a culture of accountability, professional development, operational excellence, and continuous learning.What You BringPrevious experience in learning and development, training management, security operations, aviation, compliance, or a related field.Demonstrated experience developing, implementing, and evaluating employee training programs.Strong understanding of performance management, quality assurance, auditing, and competency-based training.Excellent verbal and written communication, facilitation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.Experience developing reports, tracking KPIs, analyzing performance data, and presenting findings to leadership.Strong attention to detail and experience maintaining training and compliance documentation.Ability to collaborate effectively with operational leaders, employees, clients, and regulatory stakeholders.Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.Aviation Security Knowledge (Asset to have)The successful candidate should have, or be able to develop, a strong understanding of:Canadian Aviation Security Regulations (CASR) and applicable aviation security regulatory requirements.Security Screening Measures (SSM) and Air Carrier Security Measures (ACSM).Airport security programs, processes, and restricted/security areas.Airport Authority security policies, procedures, and Conditions of Issue.Aviation security operations involving areas such as Supply Chain Security, One-Stop Security.What's In It for YouEasy Commute: We're right beside the SkyTrain - seriously, look for us on Google Maps.Fun Events Year-Round: From big celebrations to small get-togethers, we love finding reasons to celebrate.Collaborative Culture: Join a supportive, values-driven team where everyone has a voice and wants you to succeed.Training & Growth Opportunities: Continuous learning is part of who we are - expect workshops, micro-lessons, mentorship, and hands-on projects that build your skills for today and your career tomorrow.Purpose-Driven Work: Be part of an award-winning organization recognized for its culture of respect, empathy, and accountability - where every person contributes to making people feel safe.
