Job Description:

Reporting within the Learning and Teaching Services (LTS) team, this position works with faculty, subject matter experts (SMEs), program coordinators, and Chairs to build capacity in course design and delivery. Responsibilities include advising faculty on learning theory, instructional design processes, lesson planning, assessment, educational technology, course outlines, and learning activities. The role guides faculty and SMEs through both new course development and course revision processes for face-to-face, online, and hybrid delivery.

The successful candidate supports faculty and SMEs in ensuring courses align with Algonquin's quality assurance standards, accessibility requirements, policies, and recognized best practices for face-to-face, online, and hybrid learning environments. The role also requires staying current with research, emerging trends, and evolving technologies related to instructional design, educational theory, and teaching and learning practices, particularly in online and hybrid contexts.

In addition to providing one-on-one consultation and support, the incumbent develops and facilitates professional learning opportunities for faculty and creates resources that promote effective practices in face-to-face, hybrid, and online course design and delivery.
