Summary of Position:
Our client seeks an experienced Project Director to assist with their expansion in the Calgary market. This firm already have projects underway in Calgary and are looking for a talented individual to manage projects, whilst also taking on the responsibilities of growing this firm's presence in Calgary, building client relationships and driving local business development efforts. You'd have plenty of support in this role in Business development efforts and pursuits and would also be responsible for leading proposal efforts. Role Responsibilities:
- In collaboration with the principals, develop and implement the strategic plan for launching and growing the Calgary office,
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact and ensuring client satisfaction from project inception to completion.
- Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource plans to meet delivery deadlines and financial targets.
- Oversee and be involved in the preparation and review of proposals
- Mentor and guide junior staff
- Represent the firm at client meetings, industry events, and networking opportunities, positioning the firm as a trusted partner in Calgary.
- Work closely with the partners to establish a brand presence in Calgary, including local business development initiatives and networking.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or related field
- 5+ years of experience in business development with at least 8+ years of relevant industry experience
- Ideally have been involved in business development with regards to commercial, multi-family, mixed use and industrial projects, if not, then an interest in pursuing this type of work
- Strong local market network in Calgary and proven experience in business development and client relationship management - a proven track record (beyond proposal involvement)
- Effective leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to team and client interactions
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
