College or university degree in Computer Science or an analytics-related field
At least 5 years of experience
Customer-service orientation and attention to detail
Strong understanding of data security protocols
Tact and sound judgment when dealing with stakeholders
Ability to meet tight deadlines during peak periods
Advanced Power BI and Excel skills
Strong writing and documentation skills
Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)
Proficiency in SQL, M-query, and DAX
Experience with Microsoft Fabric, including Dataflow Gen2, Lakehouse/OneLake, data pipelines, semantic models, and capacity optimization
Database maintenance and optimization experience is a strong advantage
SQL Server Jobs monitoring and troubleshooting experience is a strong advantage
Microsoft Fabric experience with capacity management, Direct Lake semantic models, real-time alerts, data pipeline orchestration, and AI model integration is a strong advantage
Office Scripts and VBA experience is an advantage
Knowledge of statistics and/or Lean methodologies is an advantage
AutoML and/or custom machine-learning model development experience is an advantage
SharePoint administration experience is an advantage
Ability to travel 100% and reliably commute or relocate to Vaughan, Ontario
Responsibilities:
Develop datasets for reporting tools and other applications
Customize and create reports and dashboards
Write SQL queries using internal and external data
Conduct data quality and verification checks
Test software performance before releasing solutions to production
Document solutions, create training videos, train end users, and monitor solution usage to support adoption
Support the ticketing system, handling requests ranging from quick fixes and permission controls to more complex issues involving corporate ERP, SQL queries, Power BI, and other systems
Maintain existing solutions and respond promptly to requests that support continuity of key business operations
Collect reporting requirements and create complex datasets
Monitor and maintain MSSQL databases to support performance
Plan and implement database backup strategies
Ensure databases meet security standards and manage user access
Advise technical staff on existing database structures
