The Mobile Coordinator’s primary job is to support the Mobile Manager and ensure the Mobile Department staff’s needs are met through oversight and training.

Overview of Responsibilities
- Provide direction, motivation, and ongoing training to all Mobile Officers by setting positive examples and setting goals
- Provide ongoing documented critical feedback and coaching to the Mobile Officers where necessary
- Create and maintain positive morale within the organization focused on building a team environment and inclusive culture
- Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with Mobile Officers
- Ensures that all Mobile Officers have received full training including online courses, orientation, and field training, and it is properly documented
- Recognize exceptional performance of any Mobile Officers and issue accolades where due
- In coordination with the Mobile Manager, create and conduct yearly probationary reviews
- Frequent communication with People & Culture team to ensure that Mobile Department staffing needs are always met to avoid excessive overtime costs and business continuity
- Conducts interviews with potential new staff to ensure they are a strong fit for the team and have appropriate availability
- Schedules all Mobile Officers based on their availability via scheduling software
- Willingness and ability to perform a mobile patrol, alarm, or entire shift if deemed necessary
- Remain available after-hours to act as a resource for emergency incidents
- Track, review, and approve time off requests within the Mobile Department and ensure that all shifts are filled when Mobile Officers are on vacation
Requirements
- Two years supervisory experience in a security related field, mobile department experience preferred
- Valid BC Security Licence
- Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s License with clean driver’s abstract
- Ability to pass a Criminal Record Check
- First Aid with AED Certified, to provincial standards
- MOAB (Management of Aggressive Behaviour) certified
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft tools, Tracktik, and WinTeam
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to mentor field staff
- Post secondary education in business preferred
- Post secondary education in law enforcement preferred
- Flexible availability (nights, weekends, holidays)
- Legal eligibility to work in Canada
