Our client is looking for a Grader Heavy Equipment Operator for their mining operation. The successful candidate is responsible for maintaining safe, smooth haul roads, cleaning up pit floors, and managing drainage and snow removal using a motor grader and related machinery. This position is located 3 km west of Matachewan, ON.

What You'll Do:
- Road & Surface Maintenance: Grade haul roads, access roads, and pit benches to maintain proper crown, slope, and drainage, minimizing wear and tear on haul trucks.
- Ditching & Excavation: Cut and clean ditches, shape berms, and assist with general site earthmoving.
- Snow & Ice Removal: Clear snow and spread winter sand or salt across site roads, ramps, and operational yards during winter months.
- Pre-Operational Inspections: Conduct mandatory daily circle checks and pre-use inspections on the grader, monitoring fluid levels, gauges, tires, and blades, and reporting mechanical defects.
- Safety & Compliance: Adhere to Ontario Ministry of Labour regulations, mine safety policies, and site-specific environmental protocols. Maintain constant two-way radio communication with haul truck drivers, heavy equipment operators, and dispatch.
- Multi-Machine Operation: Often required to operate complementary heavy equipment such as front-end loaders (e.g., CAT 980), dozers, or backhoes depending on site needs.
What You Need:
- Experience: 2 to 5 years of mobile/heavy equipment operation experience within a surface mining, heavy construction, or aggregate environment
- Valid Ontario Class G driver's license (or higher/provincial equivalent) with a clean abstract.
Required PPE:
- CSA-approved steel toe boots
- CSA-hard hat
- CSA-high visibility coat or vest & pants
- CSA safety glasses
- Cleats (during the months of November to March)
