Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior IBM Maximo / Maximo Application Suite (MAS) Developer to support the modernization and upgrade of our clients enterprise asset management platform.

The successful candidate will bring extensive hands-on IBM Maximo development experience, including direct experience upgrading Maximo 7.6.x to Maximo Application Suite (MAS). This role will be responsible for application migration, customization modernization, integrations, database migration, testing, and production deployment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the upgrade and migration from IBM Maximo 7.6.x to Maximo Application Suite (MAS 9.x).
• Develop, configure, enhance, and support solutions within Maximo Manage / MAS 9.x.
• Assess existing Java customizations and convert them to MAS-supported configurations and Automation Scripts where appropriate.
• Develop and maintain Automation Scripts using Python/Jython and solutions leveraging the Maximo Business Object (MBO) Framework.
• Configure and customize Maximo using Application Designer, Database Configuration, Workflows, Escalations, and Start Centers.
• Migrate custom applications, workflows, automation scripts, configurations, and security settings into the MAS environment.
• Design, develop, and support integrations using Maximo Integration Framework (MIF), REST APIs, OSLC, Enterprise Services, and Publish Channels.
• Support database migration activities, including Oracle-to-Db2 migration, data validation, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Develop and maintain BIRT reports and optimize complex SQL queries.
• Troubleshoot application, integration, database, and performance issues throughout the migration lifecycle.
• Participate in System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), cutover planning, deployment, and post-production support.
• Work closely with technical, functional, infrastructure, database, and business teams to ensure a successful transition to MAS.

Must Haves

• 10+ years of hands-on IBM Maximo development experience.
• Demonstrated experience completing at least one Maximo 7.6.x to MAS upgrade/migration.
• Strong hands-on expertise with Maximo Manage / MAS 9.x.
• Advanced experience with:
• Automation Scripts – Python/Jython
• MBO Framework
• Application Designer
• Database Configuration
• Workflows and Escalations
• Start Centers
• Proven experience converting legacy Java customizations into MAS-supported configurations and automation scripts.
• Strong Maximo integration experience using MIF, REST APIs, OSLC, Enterprise Services, and Publish Channels.
• Experience migrating custom applications, workflows, scripts, and security configurations.
• Strong database expertise with both Oracle and Db2.
• Hands-on experience supporting an Oracle-to-Db2 database migration.
• Experience with BIRT reporting and SQL performance optimization.
• Strong experience supporting SIT, UAT, cutover, production deployment, and post-go-live activities.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a senior hands-on Maximo developer who has already participated in a successful Maximo 7.6.x to MAS 9.x transformation and understands the technical differences between legacy Maximo customizations and the MAS architecture. They should be comfortable taking ownership of complex development, integration, migration, and deployment activities in a large enterprise environment.
