Our manufacturing client is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer (Reliability Clearance, 10+ years) to support AWS cloud migration using Terraform, Docker, GitLab CI/CD, and Ansible
Join a DevOps team supporting a large-scale on-premises to AWS cloud migration initiative within a complex enterprise environment. This role focuses on cloud migration, infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipeline delivery, and containerized application management across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments. The successful candidate will act as an AWS SME, provide technical leadership across Scrum teams, and support DevOps transformation initiatives using Infrastructure-as-Code practices. The engagement offers exposure to large-scale migration work, cross-functional collaboration, and leadership responsibilities within a hybrid team environment.
Contract, Calgary or Ottawa, Hybrid (3 days in office)
Must Haves
- 7-10+ years of DevOps experience supporting cloud infrastructure and automation initiatives
- Strong expertise with AWS cloud migration projects and Infrastructure-as-Code
- Hands-on experience with Terraform, Docker, GitLab CI/CD, and Ansible
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments as a senior technical resource or DevOps lead
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical/engineering discipline
Nice to Have
- Experience with Kubernetes, Jenkins, Packer, Prometheus, and Grafana
- Experience working across AWS, Azure, and GCP cloud platforms
- Existing government security clearance
- Experience with Linux/Unix systems, networking concepts, and virtualized environments
- Stakeholder management and mentoring experience
Responsibilities
- Design and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery processes
- Implement cloud-agnostic infrastructure using Terraform, Kubernetes, and Ansible
- Manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes
- Support an on-premises to AWS cloud migration initiative across DevOps teams
- Integrate and automate provisioning, configuration, and management across cloud and on-prem infrastructure
- Write software and scripts to deploy solutions and automate operational tasks
- Mentor junior and intermediate DevOps team members and provide AWS technical leadership
