Evening Social Worker

Tasks

• Receive incoming calls and assess the caller’s needs (domestic violence or suicide-related situations).
• Provide telephone intervention services (support, crisis intervention, assistance, and referrals).
• Respond to various requests for clinical information (programs, objectives, eligibility criteria, etc.).
• Schedule and conduct individual meetings.
• Complete client files and maintain intervention-related documentation and tracking tools.
• Follow up on cases and conduct telephone follow-ups with participants.
• Facilitate group sessions.
• Perform any other related duties.

Job requirements

• College diploma (DEC) in Social Work Technology.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in community services and intervention.
• Must attend clinical supervision meetings held 2 to 3 times per month on Thursday afternoons (mandatory).
• Proficiency in spoken and written French.
• Experience working with men (an asset).
• Crisis intervention experience (a significant asset).
• Accredited suicide prevention training, or willingness to complete the training provided upon hire.
