The Opportunity RVS invites applications for a continuing, full-time (40 hrs / wk - afternoons) Building Operator II position for Glenbow Elementary School and Cochrane Christian Academy starting immediately . Glenbow Elementary School is located in the Town of Cochrane and serves French Immersion and English students from grades K-4. Responsibilities Include Engages actively in janitorial duties, including cleaning of the school and the grounds ( 90 % of this position is cleaning) Reports any defects, damages, or loss of school property to the Head Building Operator May coordinate cleaning duties of caretakers Ensures temperatures in the school building are maintained during the shift Checks on the proper operation of heating, plumbing, and electrical systems; reports any problems promptly to the Head Building Operator Security duties as assigned Education / Experience 1-3 years previous caretaking experience Valid Building Operator B Ticket or 5th Class Power Engineering Certificate or equivalent is an asset Experience with building HVAC systems is an asset Experience in a supervisory role Reliable transportation Rocky View Schools Benefits 3 weeks vacation Benefits Plan (Extended health, Dental Benefits, Wellness / Health Care Spending Account(s), Tax Free Savings Account and Registered Retirement Savings Plan) Defined Benefit Pension Plan Professional development and training opportunities Free parking Pre-employment Requirements The successful candidate must submit a current Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Check within 30 days of the start of your employment Proof of qualifications / education as required by the position Applicants must provide a professional letter of reference, attached to the job application, from their most recent supervisor, relevant to the job opportunity, written on company letterhead, signed and dated within the past 18 months or a list of updated references of a current / recent supervisor on your application.
