The Opportunity

As the Maintenance Lead, you are responsible for overseeing all building and system maintenance at our Hallmark Residences, managing projects and a team to ensure prompt service for resident's needs.

About The Role

As the Maintenance Lead, you model the organization’s values and embody servant Leadership by prioritizing the needs of residents, team members, families and partners. You provide daily direction and mentorship to the maintenance team, oversee contracted maintenance work, and ensure effective scheduling and workload distribution. Your responsibilities include hiring and evaluating team members, managing performance, and ensuring compliance with safety policies. You handle routine repairs, oversee door systems, and support the Administrator and Director of Maintenance with budgets and contracts. Additionally, you maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, manage the department's budget, and foster a culture of health and safety.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years related repair and maintenance experience

Knowledge of codes, regulations and best practices related to the role

Previous experience in leadership, supervising teams, hiring and monitoring contractors and project management

Minimum of class 5 driver's license

Ability to work effectively, both independently with a high level of autonomy and in collaboration with a team.

As a leader, you excel in coaching, mentoring, and managing team members, while demonstrating keen ability to resolve conflicts and preserve relationships. You are a critical thinker with strong problem-solving skills and well-developed organizational abilities. You manage time, workload, and conflicting priorities efficiently and adapt to changing circumstances. You are able to preform all job duties in various working environments.

Compensation & Benefits

An hourly salary of $37.10. Your comprehensive benefits include employer-paid extended health and dental coverage, along with a generous four weeks of vacation. Additionally, we provide RRSP matched contributions and support for your ongoing professional development.
