Controller

Rocky Mountain Region - Colorado

A mission-driven behavioral healthcare organization is looking for an experienced Controller to join its leadership team and play an important role in the continued strength and growth of the organization.

This is more than a traditional accounting role. The Controller will have the opportunity to dig into financial operations, strengthen processes and internal controls, and provide leaders with the financial insight they need to make thoughtful decisions. Just as importantly, this person will be a partner across the organization and a leader to the accounting and finance team.

A Few Highlights:

• Lead day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting
• Oversee GAAP, grant accounting, internal controls, audits, and compliance
• Work closely with Revenue Cycle to support accurate billing, collections, and reimbursement reporting
• Partner with organizational leaders on financial decisions and strategic initiatives
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and financial operations
• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting and finance team
• $140,000-$190,000, DOE
• Full-time | MondayFriday

What Were Looking For:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 10+ years of accounting or finance experience
• 5+ years of leadership experience
• Healthcare organization experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and grant accounting
• CPA, CMA, CHFP, or CSAF preferred
• Public accounting, federal awards, and/or Sage experience is a plus
