Une entreprise bien établie dans l’industrie de la mode est actuellement à la recherche d’un(e) Designer technique sénior pour joindre son équipe à Montréal. Dans ce rôle, tu prendras en charge le développement technique de plusieurs styles, du handoff initial jusqu’à leur mise en production. Tu travailleras en étroite collaboration avec les équipes Design, Product Development, Fit ainsi qu’avec les manufacturiers afin d’assurer la qualité, la construction et le respect de l’intention créative. Tes responsabilités :

• Gérer le développement technique des styles de la collection jusqu’à leur mise en production
• Créer, mettre à jour et assurer l’exactitude des Tech Packs et BOM
• Collaborer avec les équipes Design et Fit afin de respecter l’intention produit, les standards de construction et les échéanciers
• Communiquer avec les manufacturiers et assurer le suivi des prototypes, corrections et enjeux de production
• Participer aux fittings et contribuer à la résolution des enjeux techniques liés aux produits

Profil recherché :

• Environ 4 à 5 ans d’expérience en Technical Design, Product Development ou rôle similaire dans l’industrie du vêtement
• Expérience en outerwear requise : manteaux, parkas ou produits similaires
• Bonne maîtrise des Tech Packs, BOM et de la construction de vêtements
• Bonne connaissance d’Adobe Illustrator
• Maîtrise du français et anglais courant pour converser avec de partenaires internationaux quotidiennement
• Expérience avec les manufacturiers, les fittings ou le pattern making considérée comme un atout
• Excellentes capacités d’organisation, de communication et de gestion des priorités

In this role, you will be responsible for the technical development of multiple styles, from the initial handoff through production. Your responsibilities:

• Manage the technical development of collection styles through production
• Create, update and ensure the accuracy of Tech Packs and BOMs
• Collaborate with the Design and Fit teams to ensure product intent, construction standards and timelines are respected
• Communicate with manufacturers and follow up on prototypes, corrections and production-related issues
• Participate in fittings and contribute to resolving technical product issues

Profile we are looking for:

• Approximately 4 to 5 years of experience in Technical Design, Product Development or a similar role within the apparel industry
• Outerwear experience required, including coats, parkas or similar products
• Strong knowledge of Tech Packs, BOMs and garment construction
• Good knowledge of Adobe Illustrator
• Fluency in French and English, with the ability to communicate daily with international partners
• Experience working with manufacturers, fittings or pattern making is considered an asset
• Strong organizational, communication and priority-management skills
