Job Title: AI Solution Architect
Work Arrangement: Hybrid at Victoria, British Columbia
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced AI Solution Architect / AI Lead to lead artificial intelligence and machine learning initiatives within a financial services environment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in AI/ML engineering, solution architecture, full-stack development, and technical leadership.
The candidate will be responsible for designing end-to-end AI solutions, leading projects from R&D and prototyping through production, and mentoring cross-functional engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead AI/ML R&D initiatives focused on financial services applications, including document intelligence and automated decisioning.
- Design and architect end-to-end AI/ML solutions from model development through scalable production deployment.
- Drive adoption of modern AI technologies including RAG, multi-agent systems, transformer architectures, and LLM-based solutions.
- Establish and maintain AI/ML deployment pipelines, including implementation, monitoring, and operationalization.
- Lead complex AI projects from concept to production, including solution architecture and system design.
- Translate business requirements into scalable and production-ready AI solutions.
- Collaborate with ML Engineers, Data Scientists, Backend Developers, and business stakeholders.
- Develop project roadmaps, resource/load-planning strategies, and optimization approaches.
- Ensure smooth transition of AI solutions from prototype to production.
- Provide technical leadership in algorithm selection, model evaluation, architecture, and engineering best practices.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and promote technical excellence.
- Conduct code reviews and support technical documentation and knowledge sharing.
- Guide teams in applying AI/ML concepts to practical business problems.
