Requirements:
- Post-secondary education in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering Technology, Computer Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in ERP, business intelligence, business systems, analytics, or operational reporting.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- Background in ERP implementation, optimization, or administration.
- Experience using Power BI or similar reporting and business intelligence tools.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Advanced Excel skills and solid data analysis capability.
- Ability to interpret both business needs and technical or system concepts.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to convert data and technical details into meaningful business insights.
- Preferred: experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Preferred: KPI development and performance reporting experience.
- Preferred: data modelling, reporting, or business analytics experience.
- Preferred: workflow automation and systems integration experience.
- Preferred: familiarity with SQL, Power Query, Power Automate, or similar tools.

Responsibilities:
- Build advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and support its use across our business.
- Serve as a key internal power user and go-to resource for Business Central.
- Learn how our business processes, transactions, master data, and workflows are represented in our systems.
- Support Business Central implementation, configuration, testing, validation, and ongoing improvement efforts.
- Convert operational and business needs into system requirements and practical solutions.
- Spot opportunities to enhance system setup, workflows, automation, integrations, and user experience.
- Support adoption and effective use of systems across departments.
- Troubleshoot business process and system issues by understanding both the operational need and the underlying system behavior.
- Develop and maintain KPIs that provide clear visibility into organizational and departmental performance.
- Collaborate with functional leaders to define what should be measured, why it matters, and how results should be interpreted.
- Create dashboards, reports, scorecards, and other performance management tools.
- Use Power BI, Business Central, Excel, and other tools to make operational information accessible and actionable.
- Improve visibility into performance, capacity, constraints, productivity, quality, schedule attainment, and other key measures.
- Focus reporting on insights that support decisions and action rather than data generation alone.
- Analyze operational and business data to identify trends, exceptions, constraints, and improvement opportunities.
- Investigate the root causes behind changes in business performance.
- Work with departments to understand what performance information means in practical operational terms.
- Identify data gaps and recommend improvements to how information is captured.
- Validate data accuracy and resolve inconsistencies between systems, processes, and reported results.
- Translate complex information into clear findings and practical recommendations for leadership and operational teams.
- Work closely with the Process Improvement Specialist to turn improved processes and business requirements into system solutions.
- Evaluate how proposed process changes will interact with Business Central and other systems.
- Define system, data, reporting, workflow, and integration needs tied to improvement initiatives.
- Support the design and implementation of scalable system solutions.
- Identify where technology or automation can reduce manual work, strengthen controls, or improve information quality.
- Help ensure our systems reinforce standardized processes rather than adding complexity.
- Participate in cross-functional business systems and improvement initiatives.
- Support requirements gathering, solution design, testing, validation, implementation, and adoption.
- Develop testing plans and take part in user acceptance testing.
- Document system requirements, configurations, workflows, and decisions.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external system partners as needed.
- Monitor implemented solutions to confirm they are delivering the intended business outcomes.
- Maintain business systems documentation, reporting definitions, system procedures, and knowledge resources.
- Document KPI definitions, calculation methods, data sources, and reporting logic.
- Create user guides, training materials, and system documentation.
- Help strengthen organizational understanding of how systems and data should be used.
- Reduce reliance on undocumented institutional knowledge.
