Senior Azure Infrastructure & Migration Specialist with Strong with strong Citrix and Windows

Our public sector client is seeking a Senior Azure Infrastructure & Citrix Migration Specialist with strong hands-on experience delivering Microsoft Azure infrastructure and hybrid-cloud migrations, including recent Azure Lift-and-Shift experience.

Duration - 1 year with a potential for 1 year extension

Work Mode - Hybrid downtown, 3 days per week on site

Must Haves

• Strong hands-on Microsoft Azure infrastructure and hybrid-cloud experience, with recent Azure Lift-and-Shift delivery experience.

• Azure Migrate: discovery/assessment, dependency mapping, replication, test migration, migration-wave planning, cutover, validation and remediation.

• Azure Landing Zone implementation/operations, including subscriptions, management groups, RBAC, Azure Policy, VNets, route tables, VPN/ExpressRoute and hybrid connectivity.

• Infrastructure as Code using Terraform; ability to review, troubleshoot and support deployment templates/code.

• Windows Server administration and migration; Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO, LDAP/LDAPS, certificates/PKI and domain-controller work.

• Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops / VDI administration, PVS/vDisk image maintenance, StoreFront, Citrix Workspace, application publishing/packaging, profile management and FSLogix.

• Experience with Citrix upgrades, patching, production troubleshooting, rollback planning and application/user validation.

• Strong production operations, incident/change management, RFC documentation, project tracking, risk/blocker escalation, knowledge transfer and vendor coordination.

Nice to have certifications (certification or equivalent demonstrated expertise):

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-).

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-).

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate (AZ-), especially valuable for hybrid networking and migration connectivity.

• HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate, preferred for IaC responsibilities.

• Current Citrix certification/training relevant to Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops / Citrix DaaS administration and advanced administration.

• ITIL Foundation, an asset for operational/change-management responsibilities.

Key Azure project responsibilities:

• Support the production-ready Azure Landing Zone and hybrid connectivity.

• Support Lift-and-Shift migration of approved VMware workloads to Azure in controlled migration waves.

• Work with Azure subscriptions, network/security dependencies, Azure Migrate tooling, Terraform deployments, testing, cutover and post-migration validation.

• Coordinate with application owners, security/network teams and the implementation partner; identify blockers and drive remediation.

• Support documentation, knowledge transfer and transition of migrated workloads into ongoing I&O operations.

Citrix / VDI responsibilities:

• Monthly VDI/Citrix patching and image maintenance.

• Citrix Workspace, PVS/vDisk, application packaging/publishing, GPO and FSLogix changes.

• Support Citrix LTSR readiness/upgrade work, testing, troubleshooting, rollback and production validation.

• Support future Citrix/Azure/AVD coexistence or migration assessment as required.

Additional infrastructure responsibilities:

• Windows Server and Active Directory administration, server lifecycle/decommissioning, DNS/DHCP/LDAP/LDAPS and certificate troubleshooting.

• Production application deployments, monitoring/support coordination and vendor escalation.
