Area Sales Manager - Barrie, Muskoka, Sudbury

MacDonald Search Group has been asked by our beverage alcohol client to find a first class Area Sales Manager to join their team in Barrie Ontario. The primary responsibility of this role will be to manage both on- and off-premise accounts, grow market share, and execute brand building and distribution programs aligned with company objectives.

Some of what you will do in this role includes:

• Manage a territory of retail and on-premise customers to drive distribution, volume, display presence, and menu placements.
• Execute staff training, consumer education, and tasting sessions to increase brand awareness and customer engagement.
• Present business cases to retail and on-premise clients, negotiating within defined budgets to achieve ROI and scorecard objectives.
• Develop strong relationships across urban and rural customers, trade partners, and community influencers to support sustainable brand growth.
• Use sales and CRM tools to track account performance and identify opportunities for volume and portfolio expansion.
• Represent the brand at trade shows, events, and sampling activations to generate awareness and loyalty.

You should have the following in your background to apply:

• 1-2 years of industry sales experience, preferably in beverage alcohol or consumer packaged goods.
• Strong knowledge of LCBO, AGCO regulations, and the Ontario market landscape.
• Post-secondary education and solid analytical and computer skills.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently with brand and expense budgets.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and travel as needed.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and sales reporting tools (, EZ Focus).
• An entrepreneurial mindset and a drive for results.
