Principal Lead AI Developer

A career as a Lead AI Developer within the Commercial and 1859 team at National Bank means acting as a specialist in the development of advanced technology solutions. In this role, you will have a direct impact on the Bank’s digital transformation by leveraging your expertise in back-end development, artificial intelligence, and cloud services. You will contribute to the evolution of a rapidly growing Intelligent Client Management and Enablement platform by automating and enhancing business processes across the organization.

Your role

• Design and develop robust, scalable application services and interfaces in cloud-based environments.
• Enhance a document processing platform to meet the organization’s strategic objectives.
• Integrate artificial intelligence solutions to automate business processes.
• Optimize the quality, performance, and security of production solutions.
• Contribute to modern DevOps practices, including automation and infrastructure management.
• Influence technical direction and promote development best practices within the team.

The Commercial and 1859 Technology and Innovation Vice-Presidency is a group of specialists who work in an agile, proactive, and collaborative manner to seize opportunities, stay at the forefront of technology, and continuously improve processes.

As part of the Commercial and 1859 sector, you will join the Innovation team and report to a Technology Development Manager. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education in a related field, along with 7 to 10 years of relevant experience.
• Significant experience in back-end development using modern programming languages.
• Strong knowledge of cloud environments and services (AWS, Salesforce, etc.).
• Experience with DevOps practices and automation tools (e.g., infrastructure management and continuous integration).
• Proficiency with version control and team collaboration tools (GitHub).
• Ability to design robust, scalable technology solutions.
• Interest in artificial intelligence and automation solutions (Microsoft Power Automate, GitHub Copilot, Anthropic, OpenAI, etc.).
