Kingsley Management is seeking a dedicated, service-oriented, and results-driven Leasing Agent to guide prospective tenants through the leasing journey on a 18-month contract. This role will be focused on generating interest, responding to inquiries, conducting unit showings, presenting available suites, and converting qualified prospects into new residents.

The successful candidate will be approachable, organized, and confident in a sales environment, with a strong focus on customer service and achieving leasing targets. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys building momentum, creating positive experiences, and playing a key role in the successful launch of new residential communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive leasing activity and support targeted occupancy levels, with a primary focus on new development lease-up projects.
  • Support leasing activity across the existing residential portfolio as required based on business needs and occupancy priorities.
  • Advertise and market available rental units through online listings, social media, and local outreach.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to leasing inquiries via phone, email, and other communication channels.
  • Schedule and conduct engaging property tours for prospective tenants.
  • Present available suites, amenities, features, and community offerings to prospective residents.
  • Follow up consistently with prospective tenants throughout the leasing process to maximize conversion.
  • Screen applicants, including credit checks, background checks, and rental history verification.
  • Negotiate lease terms and rental rates when applicable and within established guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate records of prospect interactions, applications, and leasing activity.
  • Collaborate with the Property Management team to ensure suites and common areas are clean, presentable, and ready for showings.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with real estate agents and other external referral partners to generate leasing opportunities and support occupancy targets.
  • Support the end-to-end lease-up process by coordinating move-in timelines, resident communications, required documentation, move-in packages, and leasing collateral, ensuring a seamless transition from lease signing through move-in.
  • Stay informed about local rental market trends, pricing, competitor activity, and available inventory.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of property features, amenities, value propositions, leasing processes, and applicable Residential Tenancies Act requirements.
  • Deliver an exceptional customer experience from initial inquiry through lease completion and move-in.
  • Assist with daily, weekly, monthly, and special leasing reports as required.
  • Support monthly audits and other processes that contribute to leasing and operational success.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in residential leasing, real estate, sales, or customer service is an asset.
  • Strong sales and closing skills with the ability to confidently guide prospects toward a leasing decision.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive, energetic, and customer-focused approach.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple prospects, priorities, and follow-ups in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of residential leasing practices and applicable legislation is an asset.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and property management software is an asset.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with Property Management and other internal teams.
