The successful candidate will work within the Center of Excellence Inclusive School Network (ISN) and will be under the supervision of the Director of Complementary Services of Riverside School Board. The mandate is provincial in scope, carried out under an agreement with the MEQ and as part of a project approved by the Association of Directors General of English School Boards of Quebec.

ASSIGNMENT:

The Education Consultant operates within the context of the ALDI (Advancing Learning in Differentiation and Inclusion) Initiative, which aims to build the capacity of school resource teams and foster the development of effective inclusive classroom practices across the nine English school boards in Québec and the Centre de services scolaire du Littoral.

In alignment with this mandate, the Inclusive School Network (ISN) Center of Excellence supports system-wide coherence, professional collaboration, and the advancement of inclusive practices across the English education network.

Through this role, the incumbent contributes to developing a strong knowledge base and expertise in differentiation and inclusion for resource teachers and school-based resource teams. This is achieved through sustainable, high-impact professional learning and network-wide collaboration.

• Support inter-board collaboration and access to high-quality professional development, particularly for smaller boards;
• Invite school administrators to participate in targeted working sessions and professional learning opportunities;
• Work closely with coordinators of other Centers of Excellence to leverage expertise and avoid duplication;
• Promote evidence-based pedagogical practices for students with special needs within an MTSS framework;
• Develop and implement an action plan based on priorities identified by ACES and aligned with the MEQ Strategic Plan;
• Maintain and promote the ALDI website and related communication tools
